AEE honors Meera Tandon for work at AEA

Congratulations to Meera Tandon, one of three 2014 recipients of the Association of Energy Engineers’s International Young Energy Professional of the Year award, which was presented to her at AEE’s World Energy Engineering Congress. Tandon worked as an energy efficiency engineer and later senior program manager at AEA. Nominated in 2013 by AEA’s executive director David Hepinstall, she was presented with the regional award of the same name by the organization’s New York Chapter in that year.

While at AEA Meera performed numerous energy audits,and contributed various process improvements that helped to improve or speed work processes.  During the year when she led AEA’s implementation team for the Con Edison Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program, she spearheaded a set of strategic initiatives to increase acquired energy savings and improve work flows and reporting, leading to her nomination.

Other recipients of the 2014 AEE International Young Energy Professional of the Year award are Ayah Alfawaris, R.E.P. of Izzat Marji Group in Jordan and Chris Hoeck, and energy engineer at General Mills.
