AEA staff to present on Multifamily Specification Development in Oakland on July 10, part of workshop series hosted by Build It Green

John Neal and Andre Duurvoort of the Association for Energy Affordability’s West Coast office will deliver a workshop for multifamily building owners, contractors, designers, architects and others on Wednesday evening, July 10 at Jack London Gateway in Oakland, CA.

The presenters will confront the misconception that an energy audit is sufficient to guarantee a successful green retrofit, and discuss how strong specifications can help to ensure that goals for energy efficiency and sustainability are met. John and Andre will draw on field examples that illustrate the fundamental importance of specifications. From there they will discuss key considerations for energy professionals who are developing project specifications. Food and networking begin at 5:30 PM, with the workshop starting at 6 PM. A discussion period will follow. For more information and to register, please visit the Build It Green website.
