Gov. Cuomo Announces NYS HOME Awards to AEA Member Organizations

Two members of AEA’s downstate New York Weatherization network will receive funding from the New York State Home and Community Renewal under the NYS HOME Program to assist low income New Yorkers with home repair and home ownership. Margert Community Corporation in the Rockaways and Northfield Community Development Corporation of Staten Island were awarded $400,000 and $230,000 respectively to perform services in their communities. The HOME program is designed to increase safe, decent, affordable housing throughout the state.

A total of $17 million in funding statewide was announced on Friday, March 11 by Governor Cuomo at the NYS Housing, Community and Faith-Based Development conference in Binghamton. Seven grants totaling $2,530,000 were allocated to organizations in New York City under the program.
