Information we collect
We collect information in two ways:
1. Voluntary Submission of Information
There are a number of ways you may voluntarily submit information about yourself through the use of the AEA website including but not limited to: registration forms, contact forms, and member login forms. Information you submit to us will only be used internally. Please note that submission of an email authorizes us to contact you via email.
2. Information we get from your use of our site
AEA collects non-personally-identifying information that web browsers and servers make available, including: browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor’s request. From time to time, AEA may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate for example, by publishing a report on trends in the usage of our website.
How we use collected information
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep all information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.
Any information we gather, whether submitted voluntarily or collected automatically, is used for our internal purposes only. Billing information is collected through a secure server and is not shared with other organizations other than the credit card issuing entity. Your credit card number is not retained once your transaction has been authorized and processed. It is our policy not to disclose or to sell any user information to third parties. We retain the right to disclose collected information if required to do so by law or if acting on a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or property, or to respond to an emergency situation.
Online privacy and information protection:
AEA takes all the measures necessary to protect against unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying information.
